Where Can I Connect?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Bethel Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Bethel Baptist members are involved in a variety of ministries. We have gone on a church mission trips in the past and are active in the community around us. We would love to invite you to join us in the work God is doing all around us. Check out our Calendar to see what is going on this week!

Missions

Bethel Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are a part of the Southern Baptist Cooperative program which helps fund Southern Baptist missionaries in our country and overseas. A portion of our giving goes to those ministries. We have had individuals from our church go overseas and we have gone on mission trips as a church family.

Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers, led by Bill Moore, are an important part of the ministry of Bethel Baptist Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is Christian love in action, meeting urgent needs in crisis situations. Bethel is part one of 22 churches in the Oregon Trail Baptist Association. The group houses and bases a Disaster Relief Mobile Feeding Kitchen in North Platte. It can handle up to 8000 meals a day and is staff by volunteers from the churches in time of need. They have served in over 14 Disaster in Nebraska and nationwide. They fed over 60,000 meals during Katrina as well as several other Hurricanes, and have been actively involved in tornado, and fire disaster sites in Nebraska. The Red Cross or Salvation Army provides the food and we provide the volunteers to cook and serve . If you are interested in volunteering please see Dallas or Jeff for training opportunities.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Bethel Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  We maintain an active Facebook feed for additional church communication. We are striving to constantly update our technology and approach. We currently use MediaShout in our church services. If you would like to help with these important, behind the scenes, ministries please ask to get involved!

JAM City

Jam City is our Children’s Church, a time especially for our young people to connect with God. In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Bethel Baptist holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity. Kids will be dismissed to this special time of worship when the Jam City Logo appears on the worship display. This is for children ages 3 years old-5th grade. If you are interested in being involved with this ministry contact Hellen Jimenez at: hjimenez.hj@gmail.com

Jeremiah House
The idea for the Jeremiah House began in the home of Starlene Castellaw back in 1998 when she took some children in to help them with their homework.  She noticed how hungry the children were both physically & spiritually and ended up feeding them too.  Eventually the ministry outgrew her small apartment so she asked her church for help. Bethel Baptist Church took on this ministry and we meet on Tuesday each week.

Prayer Warriors

At Bethel Baptist Church we understand that everything must be bathed in prayer. Throughout the year we have several prayer events that you can be involved in. Every year at the end of the summer we have a Back to School Prayer Night aimed at partnering our prayer warriors with students and teachers going back to school. We also have 24 Hour Prayer Vigils that we encourage everyone to participate in. Get involved by checking our

Facebook group

.

Super Summer Camp

Each summer, Bethel Baptist Church goes to a youth camp. The week-long event involves games, a lot of preaching, great food, good worship, and the intentional influence of camp counselors. The camp counselors are selected, screened, and trained for this important camp ministry. They find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both campers and counselors grow in the process.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 we have Bible study available for all age groups. The ages break down as follows:
Nursery (6 weeks-2 years)
Preschool (3 years–Kindergarten)
1st-2nd Grade
3-5th Grade
Junior and High School Youth
Adult 1 Class
Adult 2 Class

Life Groups

There are several life groups in our church that you may choose to be involved in. They meet at various locations on various days of the week. Each group determines the Bible study that they will be doing.
